Well I did post a cat picture so 🤷♂️ anyway here's what happens when you take the data from the three different filters (5x of each) stack them (so 5->1 in this case) and then map them to colors. In this instance I'm using a variant of the Hubble Palette. This is calibrated data, with noise and artifacts that would be removed in proper processing (i.e. after more data has been collected) but it gives an idea of the sort of things you can see even in shorter spans of time. Longer is better though!
This. First time in front of Solaris in 1995, then onwards to Linux, Mac and Linux again and most of the basics from back then are still all valid.

I am amazed that Unix knowledge I acquired in my college days still carries me thru in various jobs. I've changed so many languages and frameworks over the years, they become obsolete or not in demand, but knowledge of Linux is still crucial.

Lol - okay, so it looks like (once again) - I've had a different word to most of you 😂
Trust me, you missed a corker of a subtweet-esque game 😉
Feeling mainly great about that interaction (I can cope with people "d'uh"ing me when I'm actually learning something that I thought was accurate was a complete fabrication).
But then... But then... they started talking about how the earth was flat, the atmosphere is a lie, space isn't actually a vaccuum, and now I'm just sad.
I replied to a question on a public post on the birdsite with what I thought was accurate info.
Turns out, I was wrong. Rockets appear to follow a parabola curve not because the Earth rotates away from their launch site underneath them (as I swore I had learned), but they do actually angle them sideways.
I was pleased. I learned something new.
Someone did a proper birdsite schooling reply which made me do the research, but I was ok with that. I thanked them &agreed they were right I was wrong
For any trans people who need to hear this:
Your body is beautiful. You're worthy of being desired, if that's something you want.
Whether you choose to transition (and in whatever direction you want), and wherever you are in that process -- you're seen, you are believed, and I'm proud to be your sibling.
When you look in the mirror, you deserve to hear, "Hey, Beautiful." If you don't hear it in your voice, hear it in mine.
Your strength is incredible. You come from a long tradition of transgender people, stretching back to the earliest days of humanity.
Let the haters shout into the void. You don't need to. The Void already loves you. ✨
(cis people please boost)
Thoughts entirely my own.
An #NZTwit. Possibly one of the first of the new exodus? Sorry about that. You can blame me for this place going to the dogs 😬
