okay actual time:
hello! I'm artie (he/him), you might know me as @greeniememes on twitter. I'm 16 (17 soon!), queer, trans and southeast asian. i'm a year 13 student in tāmaki makaurau auckland. probably going to use this more to chat and hang out with people, I'll still be active over on twitter for the activism and big platform things, say hi to me if you're active there too:

ngl quite irritated by this one Wordle 361 5/6*

Wtf is up with this horrendous weather in tāmaki makaurau this morning

Handed in a huge investigation (worked on it for a year) this morning and it’s finally sunk in and I’m so happy rn

it’s so fucking cold rn if I had balls they’d be freezing off

communism (all of my mates using the same maths question database account and sharing the cost)

good evening friends, my words were published in thespinoff today, i write about being trans and queer and online and closeted - how social media's been good for me and why being anon is important to me. give it a read!

Ngl hanging out with my mates for a day has done more for me than several years of therapy, highly rate

Twitter newcomers.. if you want to share a toot you find in your timeline with your followers, then a boost is the only way to do so. Unlike twitter which want to show everyone what you Like, a like (or favourite) on the #Fediverse is more personal.

Use Likes as acknowledgment, token of appreciation, sign of agreement, or just to store in your favourites list. It is your interpretation and personal expression.

Use Boost to spread stuff around, encourage discussions, share delightful content.

David Tennant is such a cool guy!
But you know who I fucking hate? David Landlord

I tend to doomscroll on my phone for hours at night so I’ve taken to putting on some hand cream once I’m ready to go to bed and then boom I can’t touch my phone or it’ll get all streaky

leads to some incredibly Funny Moments when I recount racism/homophobia/transphobia to some cishet white member of staff they’re just horrified like. lol, lmao

I love calling the most minor inconveniences “literally hate crimes” because when I actually get called slurs I can laugh at it, when the options are to laugh or to cry I always choose to laugh

it’s actually a hate crime that I can’t add my usual gay and trans flag emojis to my display name cos I run out of characters

can’t wait to churn out increasingly nonsensical shitposts and lose followers at an alarming rate, genuinely my ideal version of social media usage

eternal adhd dilemma: i can't be productive unless there is something to keep me productive (like someone working alongside me) but the sounds of people breathing and typing drive me up the wall

Hey - welcome, it's great to see you here & relaxing into it. It really is 😊

But a gentle reminder that this isn't the birdsite, and (as per the below toot), the convention over here is to put photos of food/selfies (and obviously any content that might upset someone) behind a Content Warning (CW) so people can choose to not see it in their timeline, if it's not their thing:

Kiaora 😊
